I Know This Business Because I’ve Done the Work
Here’s who I am, how I got here, and why I built More Taco Gigs.
The Caterer
I started my taco catering business in 2012 in the Coachella Valley.
That business grew past six figures, but it did not happen because I had everything figured out on day one. I learned by doing the work: weddings, birthdays, corporate lunches, quinceañeras, graduation parties, backyards, venues, parking lots, and plenty of long days behind the cart.
Over the years, the business handled more than 2,000 events.

January through March were not my slow months. Those were some of my best months.
Summer was the brutal stretch. When the Coachella Valley heat hit the 120s, the calendar changed. People did not want an outdoor taco cart in that kind of weather, and I had to figure out how to keep the business moving when the heat slowed everything down.
The cooking side was only one part of the business. Better tacos were not going to fix an empty calendar by themselves. I already knew how to cook. What I needed to learn was how to get found by people who were already looking for taco catering.

The Marketer
I was still catering when I started learning the online side. Affiliate marketing was my first step, but SEO is what grabbed my attention because I could use it for my own taco catering business.
For a while, I was doing taco catering full time and learning the online side after hours. I tested what I learned on my own business, then started helping other local businesses get found too.
The more I learned, the more obvious it became: people were already going online when they needed catering. Some were searching Google. Some were comparing options. The question was how to get in front of the right people at the right time.
Then COVID hit.
Bookings started canceling one after another. Like a lot of caterers, I had to look hard at where the business was going and what would still work when events slowed down. Around that time, the work started moving more toward helping taco caterers specifically.
In November 2020, my first taco catering buyer signed up. He is still with me today.
Since then, I have sent him thousands of real quotes in Southern California. When he expanded into Las Vegas, I started helping him there too.
That work became part of More Taco Gigs: real taco catering gigs from people already looking for someone to cook at their event.
That changed how I saw the business.
A lot of good taco caterers are not short on skill. They are short on people finding them at the right time.
The Mission
More Taco Gigs exists because taco caterers need help that actually fits this business.
Most advice out there is written for restaurants, big catering companies, or people with office staff and big marketing budgets. That is not the same as loading a cart into a vehicle, driving to a backyard party, cooking for 150 people, cleaning up, and still trying to figure out where next month’s gigs are coming from.
I built this site for the caterer who can handle the event once it is booked, but needs more of the right people to find them first.
You will find practical advice here, real numbers when they matter, and services built around how taco catering actually works: getting found, getting real people reaching out, and filling the calendar without turning the whole thing into a guessing game.
